Life Reinsurance:

There are two principal methods by which life insurers obtain reinsurance cover and protection: _ The co-insurance basis is analogous to quota share reinsurance and is often also referred to as original term business. _ The risk premium basis is analogous to term life insurance and often takes the form of facultative reinsurance.
