The Association of BEE Verification Agencies (ABVA) is an independent national membership organisation established to lead the black economic empowerment (BEE) verification industry as it takes up a vital role in the transformation of the South African economy. The first industry body of its kind, the ABVA aims to facilitate the accreditation of qualifying BEE verification agencies as set out in the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Codes of Good Practice and guide the development of the industry by standardizing the ratings methodology, setting the standards for ethical behavior, professional development and the achievement of excellence in the profession. ABVA is working hand-in-hand with the South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) to establish BEE Verification Agency accreditation requirements.
