The 1st African Bancassurance and Alternative Distribution Conference saw delegates from 11 African countries explore product development and distribution methods most suited to African conditions. They left with fresh ideas, innovative strategies and new networks, ready to develop alternative channels and increase existing distribution methods.

Here are some quotes from delegates who attended last year’s conference:

“A highly relevant conference given the low penetration of life insurance in Africa. Great topics, great speakers, great venue and great attendance; well done”. Frank Oppong-Yeboah, Executive Vice-Chairman, StarLife Assurance, Ghana

“The conference gave us the ability to network with current and potential clients from both local and African countries. The speakers were most informative and most delegates left with a solid blueprint on how to move forward on distributing product into the insurance market.” Glyn Griffiths – CEO – Value Add South Africa

The 2nd conference will build on this, with new speakers, fresh topics and more innovative ideas, providing more business and partnership opportunities.

This year, the conference which will be held at the Westin Hotel, Lower Long Street, Cape Town, South Africa, starts on 6 May 2012 and ends on 8 May 2012.
