As our name suggests, Momentum is a place of constant movement and energy. We started out as a small life insurance company, owned by AVBOB, in 1966. After a few mergers and the usual acquisitions, we now form part of the FirstRand Group, one of the largest financial institutions in South Africa. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the FirstRand Group, we are responsible for all the insurance and multimanagement activities of the group.
But that may be the only corporate thing about us. With our dynamic can-do attitude and our spirit of innovation, we pride ourselves on running apart from the corporate pack. Perhaps that has something to do with the atmosphere here at Momentum. It is not only filled with a certain energetic buzz, but a lot of fun too. We believe that if you have fun while you're working, the result will be creative, enthusiastic solutions!
