Today’s Trustee is a quarterly published glossy A4 magazine, launched in March 2005 to:

  • Uniquely capture the core target market of ‘new generation’ retirement-fund trustees empowered by law to make decisions on the investment of R1,3 trillion in national savings;
  • Promote empowerment by broadening the base of financial literacy and skills;
  • Heighten awareness of shareholder activism for the mass of investors to make their influence felt by the exercise of their rights; 
  • Facilitate public communication between asset managers and their retirement-fund clients;
  • Enhance financial transparency and corporate accountability.

Amounts provided to cover the estimated ultimate cost of settling notified claims arising out of insured events that have occurred by the end of the accounting period, less amounts already paid in respect of those claims. Also referred to as outstanding claims but excluding IBNR's.
