An open letter from the Managing Director of Camargue Underwriting Managers (Pty) Ltd
For Camargue 2010 is set to be a year of change for it heralds the beginning of a new era; one where we are moving forward without co-founder of the business Ken van Sweeden at our side.
As one of the original directors of Camargue Underwriting Managers, Ken played a pivotal role in helping shape the business. But in life change is not only likely, it’s inevitable and so it is that after nine-years in the business, Ken has made a move that will see him part ways with Camargue to pursue a different course. We are naturally saddened at his leaving, but wish him every success in his new ventures.
That said and while there may be changes in the faces of the team, Camargue is still offering the same comprehensive bouquet of progressive products and services. In fact the year ahead will see further exciting developments and launches. All of this expansion and the upward trajectory expected in 2010, is being spearheaded by a young and inspired team.
Over the last few years we have created a sound platform from which to grow and intend to leverage this and to use this base wisely in the year ahead. Camargue is on a path that, with the support of partners like Lloyd’s of London, Brit Insurance and Centriq, will elevate us to a new position of strength and longevity.
We look forward to working and connecting with you in the coming months and wish you a year that is a gateway to success and happiness and characterised by the accomplishments you seek.
Yours Sincerely,
Mitch Marescia
Managing Director
