Etana insurance company are now part of a growing number of leading insurance companies that are using the vehicle inspection as a vital risk management tool at underwriting. This is not just any vehicle inspection, it is a full mobile inspection managed by Asset Management Solutions (AMS) South Africa’s largest independent mobile inspection company to the insurance industry.

Dalisu Dube, head of motor at Etana says, “Our research analysis, on the mobile vehicle inspection offered by AMS, shows very clearly defined benefits. Based on this we are confident that using a far more focused approach to motor risk management within our structures offers us a competitive advantage. There were two very obvious tasks for us to consider when looking at this initiative:

 1. To ensure we extract the value identified.

 2. Offer our clients a convenient, professional approach.”

Bernd Veening CEO of AMS, concurs, “Any motor insurance underwriter worth his salt understands the concept and subsequent benefits of doing a physical inspection of their motor risks. Insurers who have taken the initiative, over the years, to manage this inspection process effectively have certainly seen excellent returns.

However, it is not just about doing the inspection, it is more about how to get this information in the most convenient possible way. The client, who is the most important aspect to any insurer, needs and in fact demands convenience. The days of telling the client he has to go somewhere, at huge inconvenience to himself, so that the insurer is able to obtain his underwriting risk information, are gone.

That is where our full national mobile service meets demand. Insurers are beginning to understand this. The peripheral marketing opportunities to insurers of this focused approach are enormous. Etana has seen this innovation and are using it to their advantage”.

AMS have well over a hundred mobile operators nationally. They cover the width and breadth of SA.

With 13 years of service to insurers in SA they have been able to build a very reliable, competitive service that, to date, has been unbeatable. The service is quick, with most inspections being done within 3 to 5 days, friendly and certainly convenient, something everyone appreciates.
