 Working ethically, professionally and effectively
The Institute of Directors in Southern Africa (IoD) has been at the heart of the debate about directors’ roles and responsibilities and has been delivering director development programmes for 7 years. The IoD has provided guidance on the way in which organisations, directors and executives can flourish and work professionally, ethically and effectively.
Our director development offering comprises a range of presentations that will equip prospective, newly appointed and experienced directors from all sizes of business, with the skills which bring immediate benefits both on a personal and professional basis, for individuals and boards.
Delegates range from senior executives and directors to owner managers and are from the public and private sectors; multi nationals, SME’s, and family businesses.
The content is intended to be practical and of immediate benefit to the individual and the business.
Delivery Options
The IoD presentations are facilitated workshops that encourage participation and knowledge sharing.
Open Sessions
These sessions are scheduled throughout the year and are open to all. Participants are from a diverse range of organisations and the open programmes offer the opportunity for new perspectives and learning from your peers.
Confidential In-Boardroom Sessions
Many organisations recognise the value of director development and board learning for their businesses. The IoD receives an increasing volume of requests to host presentations for boards or selected participants as in-house initiatives. The IoD concluded over 200 presentations for organisations and in many cases have developed a long-term director development offering with these organisations, incorporating some of the Board Services.
This in-boardroom approach ensures that the organisation addresses critical issues relevant to their own circumstances, in a confidential environment facilitated by the IoD as an independent party.
